Federated AI and cloud data architectures enable secure international cooperation in global healthcare by delivering healthcare intelligence capabilities in a trustworthy manner across organizations, institutions, and countries. Federated AI enables sensitive data to remain with its owner, as AI algorithms can access the data without copying it. Cloud is the backbone technology of today’s economy offering resiliency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Clouds help organizations comply with their risk and privacy frameworks while concentrating on their own core offerings. Federated AI and cloud data architectures deployed within this framework allow organizations to utilize the facility offered by cloud service providers while concentrating on their own core offerings. However, incorporating both technologies has its own challenges due to the inherent nature of these environments.
